Paul Thomas Anderson’s The Master may make uncomfy viewing for Scientology fans. The 1950s-set drama tells the story of a relationship between a charismatic intellectual who goes by the name of ‘The Master’, whose faith-based organisation is starting to pick up steam in America, and a drifter who becomes his right-hand man.
