The Monday Round-up

The King’s Speech swooped in and scooped five gongs at the British Independent Film Awards last night. Carey Mulligan also got ‘Best Actress’ for her part in ‘Never Let Me Go’. Serious acclaim, great roles, fashion smarts. Mulligan is on a role. Word has it that the Colin Firth, Mulligan and assorted other actors and actresses celebrated with a game of charades. Movie-themed, natch.

And as we’re talking awards Roman Polanski’s ‘The Ghost Writer’ sweeps European Film Awards.

Emma Stone goes bleach blonde. Not vibing it at all! And speaking of dodgy hair. Nicole Kidman – what shade is that exactly?

The most awkward Harry Potter moments through the years… ignore the bad pseudo-soundtrack:

George Clooney will be adapting the play ‘Enron’ for the silver screen but he’s ditching the British cast. Ouch.

Great and lengthy interview with Danny Boyle. He discusses ’127 Hours’ in-depth.

Emily Blunt on the covers of the new ‘Harper’s Bazaar’. Full scans here. Stunning!

‘New York Magazine’ count down their Top 10 films of the year. It’s a pretty indie list.

And finally, here’s a pic of us interviewing The Dude aka Jeff Bridges, at the Tron: Legacy premiere last night. Face is about to split open with joy! Thanks so much to Chris Harvey for papping this.

And speaking of ‘Tron: Legacy’, thus far it’s got a 78% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes with The Guardian calling it “sleek, polished and bonkers”. Are you excited yet!?

Haha! That Harry Potter video was so funny! Loved it.

And so glad that The King’s Speech won so many awards. I am definitely looking forward to seeing that when it comes out.
