‘Big Momma’s Like Father, Like Son’ – Review by CineVision
After watching this nearly 2-hour long film, we have one question: why, dear God? Why?
This film is of the ‘so awful it’s almost fun to watch’ subgenre of dross. Let’s take a peek at the story: seasoned FBI agent father is followed on one of his missions by his son. Said son hides and is immediately witness to a murder – now the bad guys are after him. Naturally, he and dad decide the only solution is to dress up as women and become teacher and student at a girls’ school. Hilarity ensues.
While the film offers the occasional chuckle, for the most part it seriously lacks comedy and quality acting. Other than a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it twist as the end, nothing much happens in the way of plot or substance, either.
‘Big Momma’s Like Father, Like Son’ is only recommended if you’ve seen everything else at the cinema, and you’re happy to blow two hours you’ll never get back. Rating: 1/5 stars.
