New RoboCop posters and set images
Filming of RoboCop is officially underway. Huzzah!
Directed by José Padilha, the film’s scheduled for UK release August 9, 2013, and is expected to be one of the year’s biggest blockbusters.
It stars The Killing‘s Joel Kinnaman as lead Alex Murphy/RoboCop. The first set pics and teaser posters have just been published via ComingSoon, Cine1 and HeyUGuys.
Keeping Kinnaman company will be Gary Oldman, Michael Keaton, Samuel L. Jackson, Abbie Cornish, Jay Baruchel, and Jackie Earle Haley.
“In RoboCop, the year is 2029 and multinational conglomerate OmniCorp is at the center of robot technology. Their drones are winning American wars around the globe and now they want to bring this technology to the home front. Alex Murphy is a loving husband, father and good cop doing his best to stem the tide of crime and corruption in Detroit.
