First trailer for Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters
After being pushed back from later this year to March 2013, the first trailer for Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters has finally arrived. And forgive us for saying it, but it looks kind of awful.
Starring Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arterton, the flick reimagines the siblings of the fairy tale as ass-kicking witch-killers a la Buffy the Vampire Slayer, with Famke Janssen drafted in to play the village bad guy. So far so good, but the trailer shows off embarrassing dialogue and special effects that border on the B-movie. Will the finished article be better? We sure hope so, or we might have to cancel our subscription to the Jeremy Renner Fan Club.
Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters is released on March 15. What do you think of the trailer?
