Oz the Great and Powerful: first trailer

We love Comic-Con. Is there any other time of year that inundates us with the same amount of really good stuff to ogle? We think not.

Case in point: here’s the first trailer for Oz: The Great and Powerful, Disney’s sort-of-prequel that’s hitting cinemas in March next year. Starting out in black and white (way to go continuity!) and switching into glorious technicolour as Oz’s balloon touches down in the merry old land of Oz, it’s looking more than a bit gorgeous.

As well as a first look at James Franco as the titular wizard, we also get a glimpse of the flick’s three witches – played by Mila Kunis(bringing a whole new meaning to the term ‘green fingered’), Rachel Weisz and Michelle Williams. There’s also some sort of weird pixie-like creature, a doll that can cry and the standard complement of flying monkeys.

What do you guys think of the trailer? Are you looking forward to this one?
