Teaser trailer for Kathryn Bigelow’s Zero Dark Thirty
Kathryn Bigelow’s previous directorial outing was 2009 Oscar winner The Hurt Locker.
Zero Dark Thirty sees Bigelow shift her focus to Afghanistan and the hunt for Osama Bin Laden.
The first teaser trailer doesn’t give a lot away; ditto the first poster. You’ll also have to take our word for it that the film stars Jessica Chastain, Jennifer Ehles, Mark Strong and Aussie acting bros Nash and Joel Edgerton.
What we can tell you is what the title means. Bigelow recently told EW: “It’s a military term for 30 minutes after midnight, and it refers also to the darkness and secrecy that cloaked the entire decade long mission.”
Here’s the poster:
And the synopsis:
“For a decade, an elite team of intelligence and military operatives, working in secret across the globe, devoted themselves to a single goal: to find and eliminate Osama bin Laden. Zero Dark Thirty reunites the Oscar® winning team of director-producer Kathryn Bigelow and writer-producer Mark Boal (The Hurt Locker) for the story of history’s greatest manhunt for the world’s most dangerous man.”
