Matt Damon looking bald and fierce in first Elysium still

Neill Blomkamp’s District 9 follow up, Elysium, is something of a mystery wrapped in a parcel.

There was some viral noise about it 12 months ago, then… nothing.

Until now, that is. EW has released the first official pic from the flick – featuring a very bald, very cranky looking Matt Damon rocking what may or may not be a bionic arm.

Curiouser and curiouser.

Elysium isn’t out until March 2013. In the meantime, what we do know is that it also stars Jodie Foster, Sharlto Copley, William Fichtner, Alice Braga, Diego Luna, and Wagner Moura.
