First image of Christoph Waltz in Tarantino’s Django Unchained

Last time Christoph Waltz teamed up with Quentin Tarantino he got to take home a little gold man from the Oscars.

So folks are understandably expecting good thing from their new adventure, Django Unchained.

Waltz is cast alongside Jamie Foxx, Leonardo DiCaprio, Samuel L. Jackson, Kerry Washington, Sacha Baron Cohen, Anthony LaPaglia, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Django Unchained centres on Jamie Foxx as the title lead, a slave who’s liberated by a German dentist-turned-bounty hunter (Waltz).

Taught the tools of his trade by his freer, Django sets about trying to recover his wife, who’s being held by no-good ranch owner Calvin Candie (DiCaprio) who exploits female slaves as sex objects.

Django Unchained isn’t scheduled for a UK release until January 18, 2013. Until then, here’s a piccie of Waltz looking very beardy…
