The Hobbit to become a trilogy?

Even more news from Comic-Con! The Hobbit director and longtime inhabitant of Middle Earth Peter Jackson has apparently stated that he might shoot more footage for his two-part prequel, turning it into a trilogy.

He definitely wants to shoot more footage, according to Omelete, but doesn’t seem to have decided whether to create extended versions of the two movies he’s got or go for a third. What would you guys rather see?
